You’ve Joined the World of Social Media – Now What?

So your company has joined the world of social media!  Congratulations! This is an exciting time and you have high hopes that social media will take your business to the next level.  When posting to your social media sites it is important to remember to be consistent.  The last thing you want to do is post continually for a month and they get side tracked and stop posting altogether.  This happens more than you may think.  Some companies don’t post anything to their sites or blog or even reply to messages for weeks at a time and then boom, they are back without warning and conversing as if they never left.  This leaves customers wondering what happened, and worst, wondering what you would be like if you were their customer.  Would they be as distracted, sidetracked or disorganized when it came to you?

Another potential problem for the new social media guru is posting too much.  These are the people that can answer email, post something to social media and take a sip of coffee in five seconds flat.  You don’t want it to seem that you are sitting around staring at your computer willing it to beep with a comment or like.  The key is to find a balance that’s in the middle. Avoid posting too much or too little, instead develop a schedule that keeps you accountable but doesn’t own you. The main thing to remember is to be consistent. Let Ani Marketing Service help you find your social media stride.
