Happy Valentine's Day

It’s that time of the year, when romance turns commercial and most relationships feel a bit of pressure due to advertising overload.  Yes, taking time out to celebrate Valentine’s Day with loved ones is a good thing, but maybe we’ve turned this holiday into something a bit disingenuous.  Sending cards, flowers, or chocolates is an easy thing, but is it always the right thing to do?

In all relationships, including marketing ones, spending quality time to understand others is critical in developing long lasting, trusting and successful connections.  In the beginning, ideas that are quick and easy can be effective.  With time, however, the thoughtfulness of your ideas should increase, so that your exchanges are as meaningful as the length of the relationship.

So, on this Valentine’s Day, make it special, make it real, and make it count. Friends, loved ones, and business clients all deserve the best! Don’t let your love life or your marketing become meaningless or cliché.

All my best,

“Have a heart that never hardens, and a temper that never tires, and a touch that never hurts.”
…Charles Dickens
